Mortise Pal simplifies the challenge of mortise and tenon furniture construction by allowing you to accurately make mortises with
your plunge router. Use the jig together with Mortise Pal Loose Tenon Stock and you have a complete system for true mortise and tenon
furniture construction. Loose tenon joinery involves making mortises in each of two mating workpieces and gluing a loose tenon, sometimes
called floating tenon, to join them. One of the major benefits of loose tenon joinery is that the process of dimensioning your stock
is greatly simplified. Instead of dimensioning with extra length for the formation of tenons, you simply dimension as if you were
making a butt joint. Mortise and loose tenon joints are stronger than dowel joints, biscuit joints and pocket hole joints as show
by Fine Woodworking Magazine and many scientific studies.
